No. 8 Texas A&M (2-0) will host Kentucky (1-1, 0-1 SEC) for the first time since 2018 after defeating Missouri State and Arizona State by a combined 98-20, even though the Aggie offense produced just 255 total yards against the Sun Devils, including a pedestrian 92 rushing yards. This week, coach Mike Elko said the focus has been finding "creative ways" to get the run game back on track, starting with better blocking up front.
Last week, Kentucky played well in the first half and held a lead, but dropped the ball after halftime, allowing Alabama to dominate the third and fourth quarters and outscore the Wildcats 32-0, while sacking Kentucky quarterback Kenny Minchey four times, forcing four fumbles and recovering two.

This all starts in the trenches, and while I don't expect OL coach Adam Cushing to make significant changes to the starting lineup, how this group plays in the first half will tell us everything we need to know heading into the first half of SEC play.
