Texas A&M returns to SEC play Saturday, traveling to Tuscaloosa to face No. 13 Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in a matchup between two teams looking to get their conference seasons back on track.
The Aggies improved to 4-3 following a 41-0 victory over The Citadel last weekend but remain 1-3 in conference play. The shutout provided a much-needed confidence boost after consecutive SEC losses, although Texas A&M still has plenty to prove against tougher competition. Alabama enters the matchup 5-2 after consecutive losses to Georgia and Tennessee, including a 26-10 defeat to the Volunteers last Saturday.
Saturday also gives Texas A&M a chance to end its struggles in Tuscaloosa, where the Aggies haven't won since Johnny Manziel led them to a memorable
upset in 2012. The programs haven't met since 2023, ending a 12-year stretch of annual meetings.
