No. 14 Texas A&M volleyball completed an undefeated homestand with a three-set victory over Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena.
The Aggies defeated the Bulldogs 25-22, 25-18 and 28-26 to improve to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in SEC play. A&M has now won six consecutive matches and recordedfour straight sweeps. Mississippi State led 18-15 late in the opening set before Texas A&M closed on a 10-4 run. Kyndal Stowers delivered the final kill to give the Aggies a 25-22 victory.
The teams traded points early in the second set before A&M created separation. Kills from Taryn Morris and Megan Fitch gave the Aggies a two-point advantage at the media timeout, and they stayed in control to take a 2-0 match lead.
Mississippi State pushed Texas A&M
throughout the third set and had an opportunity to extend the match. However, the Aggies remained composed late and finished the 28-26 victory to complete the sweep.

Stowers led the way with a historic performance,setting a Texas A&M record with 26.5 points in a three-set match. Her five service aces were also a career high. The Aggies recorded a season-high eight aces as a team and found ways to finish each set despite facing late pressure from Mississippi State.
Texas A&M will now leave Reed Arena for its first SEC road match of the season. The Aggies travel to Oklahoma on Wednesday, then visit Arkansas next Sunday.
