Former Texas A&M players were spread across the NFL again in Week 2, with several familiar Aggies making an impact and members of the 2026 draft class continuing to settle into their new roles.
Edgerrin Cooper delivered one of the strongest performances of the week. The Green Bay linebacker recorded eight tackles and a sack in a 20-17 overtime win over the New York Jets. He has now recorded a sack in both games to start the season.
Mike Evans and De’Von Achane shared the field when San Francisco hosted Miami. Evans caught three passes for 54 yards, including a 27-yard reception that helped set up a touchdown in the 49ers’ 35-13 win. Achane rushed for 74 yards and added 19 receiving yards for the Dolphins. Evans left the game with a hip injury,
and San Francisco plans to manage his workload this week.
Texas A&M’s recent draft picks also gave fans moments to follow. Cleveland receiver KC Concepcion caught six passes against Tampa Bay, while Carolina cornerback Will Lee III broke up two passes in a win over Atlanta. Cashius Howell played 41 defensive snaps in Cincinnati’s victory over Houston, a noticeable increase from his season opener.
Myles Garrett was absent from the Rams’ Monday night win over the Giants after undergoing knee surgery and landing on injured reserve.
