Georgia reclaimed the No. 1 spot, while Texas and Tennessee moved inside the top 10 in the latest AP Top 25 rankings after an electric Saturday of college football.
Kirby Smart led his team into Vaught-Hemingway and enacted revenge on No. 12 Ole Miss with a dominant 42-7 win over the Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi, in Week 10. Alabama moved up two spots after the Tide rolled through Tiger Stadium and crushed LSU, 31-10, in one of the SEC's most intense rivalries. Speaking of hatred, the one-loss Kentucky Wildcats ran into a freight train at Neyland Stadium on Saturday, suffering a 34-6 loss to the Vols, who moved up to No. 9 with the outstanding performance in Knoxville.
The SEC boasts more teams in this week's AP Poll than any conference in the
nation, with eight programs remaining in the top 25. Much football still remains across the conference, but if this past weekend is any indication, the SEC has multiple teams that could make a deep run in the upcoming College Football Playoff.
