Texas A&M volleyball has landed another major recruiting commitment, flipping highly ranked 2027 middle blocker Kendall Omoruyi from Nebraska.
The 6-foot-4 prospect announced her decision Thursday after previously committing to Nebraska in June 2025. Omoruyi ranks No. 2 nationally according to PrepDig and No. 3 according to PrepVolleyball, making her one of the country's most sought-after prospects.
Omoruyi attends Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California, and competes for SC Rockstar at the club level. She previously attended Casteel High School in Arizona and has represented USA Volleyball internationally.
Her commitment strengthens an already impressive 2027 recruiting class for head coach Jamie Morrison. The Aggies also hold commitments
from Sophee Peterson, the nation's No. 1 overall prospect, and Isabel Incinelli, a 6-foot-5 outside hitter ranked No. 7 by PrepDig.
The addition is particularly significant considering Nebraska's reputation as one of college volleyball's premier programs. Texas A&M defeated the Cornhuskers in five sets during the 2025 NCAA Tournament regional semifinals before capturing the program's first national championship.
In her Instagram announcement, Omoruyi expressed appreciation for Nebraska's coaching staff while explaining that her priorities had changed since her original commitment. She also thanked Morrison and the Texas A&M staff for their interest in her development beyond volleyball. Omoruyi brings size, athleticism and a strong presence at the net to a program already featuring productive middle blockers Eliza Sharp and Kaia Castle.
With three nationally ranked prospects committed, Texas A&M continues building a promising future under Morrison. Omoruyi's commitment remains verbal until she officially signs with the program.
