After a couple of massive upsets in Week 2, our weekly Southeastern Conference power rankings have shifted dramatically.
Another dominant performance against a non-conference opponent keeps the Georgia Bulldogs as our top team in the league, but the Texas Longhorns are not far behind after the Longhorns pulled off a 21-point comeback to hand No. 1 Ohio State its first loss of the 2026 season.
Despite a slow start, LSU handled its business against Louisiana Tech, moving them down just a spot in our SEC power rankings, with the highly anticipated Ole Miss showdown in Oxford looming this upcoming Saturday. The Alabama Crimson Tide also had a slow start in their conference opener against Kentucky, but put their foot on the pedal in the second half
to throttle the Wildcats, 45-17.
Ole Miss and Mississippi State push Texas A&M down to No. 7, as the Rebels and Bulldogs continue to impress. The Aggies secured a 48-20 win over Arizona State, but there were a plethora of inconsistencies that must be adjusted moving forward.
