Former Texas A&M running back De'Von Achane suffered a torn ACL on Sunday during the Miami Dolphins' 24-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The injury will cause him to miss the rest of the 2026 season.
He suffered the injury early in the first quarter, staying down after he took an awkward step while attempting to make a cut. He was able to walk off under his own power, but was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game after going to the locker room. He finished the 2026 season with 34 carries for 127 yards and seven receptions for 49 yards.
Achane was coming off a breakout 2025 season for the Dolphins, being named to his first Pro Bowl after rushing for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns on 238 carries. He also
caught 67 passes for 488 yards and four more touchdowns.
Miami worked quickly to lock him down after the season, signing him to a four-year, $64 million deal over the offseason. While the Dolphins are tanking, he was set to be the centerpiece of the offense for years to come.
Achane played at Texas A&M from 2020-22, being named to the All-SEC First Team in 2022 before the Dolphins drafted him in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. In 30 games as an Aggie, he rushed for 2,376 yards and 21 touchdowns.
