The San Francisco 49ers entered the weekend with only two players listed as questionable for their Week 2 matchup with the Miami Dolphins at Levi's Stadium, including kicker Eddy Pineiro.
Pineiro, 31, has been dealing with an illness all week that's kept him out of practice. However, according to NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco, the kicker will play on Sunday against the Dolphins.
While this great news, Maiocco also reported that the 49ers brought in two other kickers for workouts just in case. Those two kickers were Younghoe Koo and Greg Joseph.
Koo, 32, has had stints with the Los Angeles Chargers, Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants, making 85.3% of his field goals and 95.9% of his extra points. He also made the Pro Bowl in 2020 with the Falcons.

32, has kicked for the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Washington Commanders and New York Jets, making 82.3% of his field goals and 90.8% of his extra points. He also spent last offseason with the 49ers, when San Francisco decided to stick with Jake Moody.
