The San Francisco 49ers' receiving corps took another hit in Week 2 when veteran WR Mike Evans suffered a hip injury in the team's win over the Miami Dolphins.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan on Sunday after the 49ers beat Miami said Evans would've re-entered the game had the 49ers not been ahead by 29 points when he got hurt. That seemed to indicate Evans would be good to go for Week 3, but there are some questions surrounding his availability.

Mike Evans injury update
Evans didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday before finally getting back on the field for a limited session Friday. He was officially listed as questionable on the injury report.

It seems like Evans is trending toward playing. The 33-year-old is long past the
point of needing a certain amount of practice in a week to be ready for game day. His return Friday combined with the fact Brandin Cooks wasn't elevated from the practice squad is a good sign the 49ers aren't shutting him down for the week. San Francisco can ill-afford to lose Evans for an extended period thanks to a slew of other injuries at wide receiver.
What Kyle Shanahan said about Mike Evans's injury update
Outside of his Sunday statement where he said Evans would've re-entered Week 2 after his injury if not for the lopsided score, the 49ers head coach has been mostly mum on his star WR's availability. Shanahan on Friday confirmed Evans did practice that day, but wouldn't issue a statement on Evans' practice time.
"I don't think we have to give that designation today," Shanahan said.
The team did have to give a designation and Evans was listed as limited.
Who will play for the 49ers if Mike Evans is out?
It's ugly in the receiving corps if Evans can't go. Deebo Samuel probably becomes WR1 while the other reps are distributed among WRs Jacob Cowing, KhaDarel Hodge and Jordan Watkins.
