The San Francisco 49ers rounded out their roster picture Sunday, announcing 13 players signed to the team's practice squad following Saturday's final round of cuts for the initial 53-man roster ahead of their Week 1 opener against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia.
The practice squad group leans on players who were in the building throughout training camp, all of whom were already with the 49ers through training camp and the preseason.

Alarcón has been in the building since 2024 and now slots in as the team's International Pathway Program exemption, while 2023 seventh-round pick Jalen Graham has bounced on and off San Francisco's roster for years. Veterans Ogbo
Okoronkwo and KhaDarel Hodge didn't even need to clear waivers, since both were released outright and free to return right away. Khalil Dinkins is the closest thing to a newcomer, having signed a three-year deal as an undrafted rookie just before cuts.
The group provides depth at several spots that look thin on the 53-man roster. Wide receiver was a position of note in the cuts, with Jordan Watkins' active-roster spot considered anything but safe as San Francisco still needs to make additional moves; Grimes, Hodge and Pauling give the team receiver options to lean on. The offensive line, which sits at just eight active linemen pending a since-expected trade for Houston's Jarrett Patterson, also gets an infusion with Alarcon and Nugent available to elevate if needed. McCormick gives the 49ers a backup running back with NFL experience to elevate injuries befall Jordan James, Kaelon Black or Christian McCaffrey.
Defensive line depth behind starters like Nick Bosa and Osa Odighizuwa rounds out with Okoronkwo and Valdez, while Robinson and Stroman add secondary numbers in a cornerback room the team already considers deep.
Expect more shuffling in the coming days as players around the league clear waivers, with the 49ers still finalizing IR decisions for veterans like Weeks and punter Corliss Waitman.
