After losing cornerback Ephesians Prysock in the first quarter of their preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, the San Francisco 49ers lost another depth player early in the second half of the contest.
After San Francisco's first offensive drive following halftime, the team announced that tight end Brayden Willis has been ruled out with a concussion.
Willis, 26, joined the 49ers as a seventh-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft following a five-year collegiate career at Oklahoma. In three seasons, Willis has only played 86 offensive snaps and has never caught a pass.
With Willis out and George Kittle not active, San Francisco will have to rely on Hayden Rucci and Khalil Dinkins through the rest of the game.
