The San Francisco 49ers will have rookie running back Kaelon Black in uniform for their Week 2 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
Black was listed as questionable on the injury report after showing up during the week with a groin injury. He was limited in Thursday and Friday's practices, but he was not listed among the team's inactives for Week 2.
With Black a little banged up the 49ers made a change to their roster and activated RB Jordan James. The second-year RB was inactive in the season opener, but with Black nursing an ailment it's not a surprise the 49ers want a little extra insurance in their backfield.
Here's who won't suit up for the 49ers:
- QB Kurtis Rourke (QB3)
- WR Jordan Watkins
- CB Ephesians Prysock
- LB Tatum Bethune
- OL Enrique Cruz Jr.
Kicker Eddy Pineiro is also officially active after being listed as questionable. He was absent from
the entire week of practice because of an illness. The 49ers didn't sign a kicker with their Saturday roster moves which paved the way for Pineiro to suit up Sunday.
