After the San Francisco 49ers watched wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling get carted to the locker room and ruled out for the rest of their Week 1 battle with the Los Angeles Rams, they suffered another injury to a key player late in the second quarter.
On the first play of their final possession of the half, 49ers tight end Jake Tonges went down and had to be helped off the field. He was also eventually carted back to the locker room.
The team has yet to announce the injury or his status for return, but we will update when they do.
If Tonges can't go, the 49ers will have to rely on George Kittle and Luke Farrell at the position for the rest of the game.
