Hit refresh for all the latest injury news from San Francisco throughout Week 5 in the lead up to their game Sunday at Lumen Field vs. the Seahawks:
Nick Bosa, James Thompson Jr. likely to be ruled out
03:05 PM ET, October 7 2026, Kyle MadsonHead coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday told reporters in a press conference that
neither Bosa nor Thompson would likely return to face Seattle. Bosa is still nursing a calf injury he sustained in practice before Week 3, while Thompson is still recovering from a high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 3. Neither of them are on IR, so they could theoretically be back in Week 5, but Shanahan's lack of optimism doesn't bode well for early returns from either player.
