Last year, the San Francisco 49ers traded wide receiver Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders, and after one season, he returned to the team that drafted him on a one-year deal for 2026.
After passing Freddie Solomon and moving into 10th in 49ers receiving yards last week against the Arizona Cardinals, Samuel is moving up the team's history books again.
This time, Samuel passed John Taylor to move into 10th in 49ers receptions after catching five passes for 26 yards and a touchdown against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Taylor caught 347 passes in nine season with San Francisco, and Samuel is now up to 348 receptions in his seventh year with the team.
Don't expect him to stay in that spot for long either, as he needs 24 receptions to pass Gene
Washington for ninth. That's an achievable feat for the 30-year-old this season.
