Four weeks into the 2026 season, most of the remaining free agents from the San Francisco 49ers' 2025 roster have already found new homes, but there were a few players still unsigned on the market.
However, on Tuesday, that list of unsigned free agents shrunk by one as former 49ers linebacker Eric Kendricks signed with the Los Angeles Rams practice squad, per NFL insider Ari Meirov.
Kendricks, 34, spent eight years with the Minnesota Vikings, one with the Los Angeles Chargers and one with the Dallas Cowboys before joining the 49ers in 2025. Last year, in five games with the 49ers before the regular season and the playoffs, the one-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro recorded 25 tackles.
Now, Kendricks will have a chance to become a contributor in Los Angeles
and could help the Rams in their matchup against the 49ers in December.
