The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday here in the U.S. but on Friday morning in Melbourne, Australia, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to kick off their 2026 campaigns.
Ahead of the matchup, San Francisco announced their inactives for the game, which didn't feature defensive end Nick Bosa and tight George Kittle, who have both worked their way back from season-ending injuries suffered in 2025.
The following players will be inactive for San Francisco for this battle:
- QB Kurtis Rourke (emergency third QB)
- CB Ephesians Prysock
- RB Jordan James
- WR Jordan Watkins
- LB Tatum Bethune
- OT Enrique Cruz
For the Los Angeles, they'll be without these guys:
- WR CJ Daniels
- WR Tutu Atwell
- OL Bill Murray
- TE Max Klare
- QB Ty Simpson (emergency third QB)
