The San Francisco 49ers are 4-0, but that doesn't mean they came away from their 24-14 win over the Denver Broncos unscathed.
According to head coach Kyle Shanahan
, fullback Kyle Juszczyk sustained a knee injury, safety Marques Sigle sustained an ankle injury, cornerback Upton Stout sustained a shoulder injury and linebacker Fred Warner had stomach issues. All exited the contest. Stout returned to the game before leaving again. There was no immediate word on the severity of the injuries to Juszczyk and Sigle, which leaves both players' status uncertain as San Francisco turns toward Week 5. Juszczyk hurt his knee on a big hit late in the fourth quarter. Shanahan added that Juszczyk's injury is suspected to be a sprain and that the three injured
players will get MRIs.
The hope is that at least a few of them can return to the 49ers' big Week 5 match against the Seattle Seahawks on the road. The 49ers need a win to maintain their one-game lead in the NFC West race after the Seahawks (3-1) also won in Week 4.
