San Francisco 49ersquarterback Brock Purdy has played like a legitimate MVP candidate through the first three weeks of the 2026 season.
In fact, Purdy has played so well that he earned NFC Offensive Player of the Month honors for September.
Not only has he helped the 49ers start 3-0, with wins over the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals, but he's also put up some impressive numbers. So far this year, he's completed a career-high 72.3% of his passes for 789 yards and a league-leading nine touchdowns with just one interception. He's also rushed for an additional 93 yards and a score as well.
Purdy is the first 49er to win a Player of the Month Award since Eddy pineiro did it in October 2025, and he's first 49ers to win Offensive
Player of the month since Christian McCaffrey did so in September and December 2025.
If Purdy keeps up this impressive pace, he'll probably hoist the MVP at the end of the year and help San Francisco on their quest to hoist another Lombardi Trophy
