What is the story about?

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium on Sunday for an early season NFC West showdown between the two rivals.

San Francisco went up 14-0 early in this game, but in the second quarter they lost cornerback Deommodore Lenoir to an injury. On a second-and-12 pass, Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett hit Michael Wilson for a five-yard gain. Lenoir collided with 49ers linebacker Fred Warner and remained down after the play.

Lenoir eventually got to his feet and was helped off the field by the training staff. After a stay in the blue medical tent, he headed to the locker room with a towel around his neck.

The team announced that they're evaluating him for a concussion.

Without Lenoir, the 49ers starting cornerbacks

are Renardo Green, Jack Jones and Upton Stout. With Ephesians Prysock a healthy scratch, San Francisco might have to move Siran Neal back to cornerback.
