On Friday, the Indianapolis Colts stole San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Kevin Givens off their practice squad, and just two days later, another AFC South team had taken another.
According to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, the Houston Texans are signing 49ers defensive lineman Naquan Jones off their practice squad.
Jones, 28, played at Michigan State from 2016-20, before going undrafted in 2021. He's bounced around the league quite a bit, with stints with the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans before joining the 49ers back in September.
In three games for San Francisco this season, Jones has recorded two tackles while playing 21% of their defensive snaps. Now, without him and Givens, the 49ers are left with Osa
Odighizuwa, DeForest Buckner, Gracen Halton, Sebastian Valdez and James Thompson Jr. at the position on the 53-man roster. Their lone practice squad defensive lineman is McKinnley Jackson.
