The San Francisco 49ers on Friday gave official designations for wide receivers Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel as part of their Week 9 injury report.
Evans and Samuel are officially ruled out as general manager John Lynch alluded to in a Thursday radio hit in the Bay Area.
Running back Christian McCaffrey is officially good to go while he recovers with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 7. He missed Wednesday's practice, but returned to finish out the week and put himself in position to play against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at Levi's Stadium without an injury designation.
In more good news, defensive end Nick Bosa is also without an injury designation, meaning he'll be in line to suit up Sunday for the first time since straining his calf
in a Week 3 practice.
Here's the full injury report as announced by head coach Kyle Shanahan in his press conference after Friday's practice:
Out
- WR Mike Evans (ribs, Achilles)
- WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
- WR Christian Kirk (knee)
Shanahan told reporters Kirk hurt his meniscus in practice. The club is still deciding whether he'll have surgery.
Questionable
- S Siran Neal (knee, foot)
- CB Upton Stout (shoulder)
- WR Demarcus Robinson (ankle)
- CB Nate Hobbs (adductor)
Robinson should be activated off IR after having his practice window opened according to Shanahan. Hobbs' activation off IR is still up in the air per Shanahan.

- RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring)
- DE Nick Bosa (knee, calf)
- LB Luke Gifford (groin)
