The San Francisco 49ers and edge rusher William Bradley-King have agreed to an injury settlement, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, closing out a run with the organization that stretched back to last summer.
San Francisco signed Bradley-King on August 14, 2025, after a tryout. He was waived in final roster cuts on August 26, re-signed to the practice squad the next day, then released again on August 29 — only to return to the 49ers' practice squad on September 24. His persistence paid off when San Francisco signed him to a reserve/futures contract on January 20, 2026. But on July 29, he was waived with an injury designationand reverted to injured reserve the following day, setting up Thursday's settlement.
Bradley-King will become a free agent
once medically cleared now that the settlement is final, which will allow him to pursue his next opportunity elsewhere in the league.
A Kansas City, Missouri native, Bradley-King starred collegiately across five seasons at Arkansas State (2016-19) and Baylor (2020), totaling 51 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks and four passes defensed in 27 games. He earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors in 2019, second-team recognition in 2018, and All-Big 12 honorable mention as a senior at Baylor.
Bradley-King was originally a seventh-round pick by the Washington Commanders in the 2021 NFL Draft. Across four years bouncing between practice squads and active rosters with Washington (2021-23), New England (2023-24) and Miami (2024), he appeared in just four games, registering seven tackles. In 2024, he spent training camp with the Patriots before signing to Miami's practice squad that August, where he finished out the season before he ended up in San Francisco the in 2025.
