San Francisco opened its 2026 slate against the Super Bowl favorite Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. It was, on paper, the toughest possible matchup in the furthest game possible away from the 49ers' home stadium.
Now they'll be back at Levi's Stadium taking on a Miami Dolphins team that established its bona fides as one of the NFL's worst teams by getting blown out by the Las Vegas Raiders in their season opener.
If the 49ers play as well in Week 2 as they did in Week 1 they might set some records for lopsided scores in club history.
