The San Francisco 49ers are trying to keep their focus on the season opener less than three weeks away, but on Monday, head coach Kyle Shanahan had to address the arrest of owner Jed York.
"Obviously it's a very tough situation," Shanahan said. "It's extremely fresh, a very, very personal situation. With it being this personal, I'm trying as hard as I can to keep it this way."

York, 46, was arrested Sunday morning in East Palestine, Ohio, initially
on suspicion of engaging in prostitution. The charge was later amended, and York pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. He was sentenced to time served and ordered to pay $1,150 in fines. Both the NFL and the 49ers have since issued statements, with the league saying the matter "will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy" and the team saying the situation, as a resolved legal matter, would draw no further comment.
Shanahan added that he doesn't expect anything will change organizationally in the wake of the York situation.
Whether that holds will likely depend on what, if anything, the NFL decides once its personal conduct policy review concludes. For now, Shanahan and the 49ers are trying to keep the story from becoming a distraction as training camp winds down and the regular season approaches.
