Several wide receivers on the San Francisco 49ers' roster have missed time this year due to injuries, including Ricky Pearsall, De'Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson, Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel.
While Robinson is ready to return, the 49ers
are still interested in improving the room, as NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday that San Francisco is among the teams calling around about wide receiver help ahead of the trade deadline. The 49ers have gone 6-1 through the first eight weeks of their 2026 campaign despite injuries at wide receiver. As Robinson, Stribling, Evans and Samuel come back, things will get easier for San Francisco's offense.
However, moving on from draft picks to bring in one of the receivers on the trade block, such as
Brian Thomas Jr., Josh Downs or Calvin Ridley, could help the 49ers make a run to the Super Bowl and win it for the first time in over 30 years.
