George Kittle continues to stake his claim to one of the greatest San Francisco 49ers players of all time.
The tight end caught the 56th touchdown pass of his career in San Francisco's 24-14 win over the Denver Broncos, passing fellow tight end Vernon Davis for fourth on the franchise's all-time list. Only Jerry Rice (176), Terrell Owens (81) and Gene Washington (59) have more receiving touchdowns in team history. Kittle is now three away from tying Washington for third.
Kittle entered the game with 607 career receptions for 8,182 yards and 55 touchdowns across 10 seasons, all with the 49ers. He has stayed productive at age 33, even after sustaining an Achilles injury in the divisional round of the 2025 playoffs. Through the first three games
of 2026, Kittle had 16 catches for 244 yards and four touchdowns.
He also ranks second in receptions and third in receiving yards in the franchise record books.
The milestone adds to a resume that already includes seven Pro Bowl selections and two first-team All-Pro nods, in 2019 and 2023. Kittle has been one of the most consistent pass catchers at his position since he arrived in 2017, and the touchdown record shows how much of that production has come in the end zone.
