Kentucky football is having a terrific season so far. On Saturday night, it got even better with a massive win against LSU, ranked No. 10 in the country. Fans rushed the field, and celebrated until the early hours of the morning. It was a program defining win for the Wildcats, and one that launched them up in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Wildcats just cracked the top 25 last week, but their win this week moved them up eight spots to No. 17. That's seventh among teams from the SEC, and their highest ranking in quite some time.
Around the rest of the SEC, there were a lot of changes. The Georgia Bulldogs are the new No. 1 team after beating the Alabama Crimson Tide, who stay in the top ten. The Texas Longhorns also stayed in the top ten after their
loss. LSU dropped 11 spots, and the Florida Gators dropped out of the top 25 completely.
It was a wild week of college football, and the SEC in particular. Here is the full results of this week's coaches poll.
