Once again, the Kentucky Wildcats and coach Mark Pope are in play for a number of the top players in the 2027 recruiting class. Ryan Hampton is already committed, and they're also looking to add an elite big man. Lewis Uvwo has already taken a visit to Lexington, and now, Paul Osaruyi is set to head to the Bluegrass State as well.
Recruiting analyst Sam Kayser reports that Osaruyi will visit Kentucky officially this weekend. That would make the Wildcats the first team he has taken an official visit with.
Osaruyi is a 6'10", 225 lb center out of Arizona with a 7'2" wingspan. He averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds per game on the Nike EYBL circuit this past season, but has the ability to be even better. He has terrific size, and could double those
numbers with the right development.
Rated four stars by 247Sports, Osaruyi is ranked as their No. 18 overall player in the class, and could go higher if his offensive game takes a step forward. His raw tools are elite, and Pope would love to get his hands on him.
Kentucky is joined by Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia, and others in pursuit of Osaruyi. The Mountaineers are the early leaders, but so far, the visit to Lexington is the only one scheduled. Fans will have to wait and see if that's a good sign. We will update his recruitment as it develops.
