Since their loss to Tennessee two weeks ago, Kentucky Wildcats volleyball has been dominant, and that continued on Sunday against Mississippi State. Kentucky got a sweep of the Bulldogs, and are now 3-0 with three sweeps since that loss.
The Cats fell behind early in the first set, but quickly rebounded and used a 9-2 run to get ahead, and won it 25-17. Set two was even more dominant. Kentucky led 17-14 at one point, but scored the final eight points in a row. Set three was closer, but the Bulldogs couldn't get over the hump, giving the Wildcats the match 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-21).
Brooklyn DeLeye led Kentucky with 15 kills in the match. She also had two service aces. Morgan Gaerte was right behind with 14 kills and 2 blocks. Lizzie Carr's 5 blocks led the way
defensively, while Molly Tuozzo had 12 digs.
The Wildcats are now 18-5 on the season, and have just two regular season matches remaining before the SEC Tournament. South Carolina is up next, with that match scheduled for Friday at 7:00 P.M.
