Will Levis is a free agent. The Tennessee Titans, who drafted Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, have released Levis, and since he went unclaimed on waivers, he'll now be free to sign wherever he'd like. Levis should be able to find a home as a backup quarterback somewhere and has certainly shown enough big-play ability to be useful for an organization.
Levis fell in the 2023 NFL Draft, being selected 33rd overall by the Titans after having top-five potential. The 6-foot-4 quarterback seemed to remind many analysts of superstar phenom Josh Allen. Levis has a cannon for an arm and can use his feet to pick up first downs as well. He ended his career with the Titans with a 5-16 record, having a 61% completion rate as well. Levis missed
all of the 2025 season.
As a rookie, Levis actually showed some promise. He went for 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, starting nine games during his first season. He had just a 3-6 record, but his surrounding cast certainly wasn't among the best in the NFL either.

For Levis, he originally started his collegiate career with Penn State, transferring to Kentucky after two seasons with the Nittany Lions. He did show upside with the Cats, but even at the collegiate level, he had major turnover problems. He ended with 13 interceptions his junior season and followed that up with 10 interceptions as a senior, ending with just 19 touchdowns and 2,406 passing yards.
With the right system and right coaching staff around him, there's no doubt that Levis could thrive. He didn't have the best hand of cards with the Titans, which was seen in Ward during his rookie season as well. Hopefully he'll be able to find a good home, even if it's as a backup option this season.
