Kentucky football has defied expectations all season. From their unexpected win over Texas A&M to last Saturday's upset of LSU, the Wildcats have managed to surprise nearly everyone on their way to a 5-1 record. Injuries have begun to mount though, making upset victories even more difficult than usual.
On Wednesday night, the week's first availability report for their matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners was released, and Kentucky once again has a number of names on it. It also includes a key offensive player in running back C.J. Baxter, who is listed as "questionable". That means there is a 50% chance of him playing. He would be a big loss for the Wildcats.
Linebacker continues to be a position with depth problems. Tavion Wallace and Antwan Smith
are both still listed as "out", though interesting, Alex Afari is "questionable". The good news is that receiver Nic Anderson is listed as "probable" against his former team.
On the other side of things, Oklahoma is banged up on the offensive line. Michael Fasusi is still "questionable", as is Eddy Pierre-Louis and Fred Hinton.
We will update the injury status of the key Wildcats as the game approaches.
