The Kentucky Wildcats volleyball team took the court on Sunday, looking to win a second straight match after their loss to Florida last weekend. A trio of Wildcats had at least 11 kills to lead them to a win over Ole Miss 3-1 (25-14, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19).
Kentucky dominated the first set, and looked like they would run away with the match. The Rebels made a valiant effort, though, and took set three to get back in it. However, the Cats closed out set four to get the win.
Brooklyn DeLeye had 14 kills to lead Kentucky, followed closely by Morgan Gaerte with 13 and Lizzie Carr with 11. Overall, the Wildcats posted a .302 hit percentage to just .197 for Ole Miss. Kassie O'Brien had 43 assists and 10 digs, both of which led the team.
Kentucky will be
back in action on Friday, Oct. 16 against the Oklahoma Sooners. That match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 P.M. ET.
