Recruiting is tough, but winning certainly helps. That's something that Will Stein and the Kentucky football team have done so far in 2026. They stand at 5-1 after a big win over LSU, and that high profile victory definitely got the attention of some top players.
One of the elite quarterbacks in the 2028 class has been impressed by Stein and the Wildcats program, and that's Josiah Boyd. He has been so impressed that he cut his list of schools down to three, and Kentucky is one of them, per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
Boyd is a 6'3", 165 passer out of California. He is rated four stars by 247Sports and ranks as the No. 76 overall player in their composite rankings. He is ranked as some as the No. 2 QB in the class.
His final choices include Kentucky
along with the Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins, and it says a lot that the Wildcats made the list with schools closer to home for him, and with more football pedigree. He is set to announce his commitment on No. 23, and we will have that announcement as soon as it happens.
