The Kentucky Wildcats have, for the last decade, been a major producer of NBA talent. From household names like Anthony Davis to rising phenoms like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Tyrese Maxey, the Cats have many former players who are among the best at the highest level in basketball.
The Cats were in a win-win situation with the NBA Finals this season as well, as Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks faced Keldon Johnson and the San Antonio Spurs. KAT won that battle and earned his first ring. SGA, Anthony Davis and Jamal Murray are just a couple of the players that've sat atop the NBA over the last few seasons.
That said, the ratings for 2K27 are out, and the former Cats are a well-represented bunch. SGA was the No. 1 Wildcats player, and he was among
the top players overall, coming in at a 97. KAT was a 93 and Maxey was a 92. Devin Booker at 91 and Davis at 90 rounded out the five players who were ranked at least a 90.
One might be a bit surprised to see that Cason Wallace, Immanuel Quickley, and Shaedon Sharpe were above PJ Washington and Reed Sheppard, the former of whom were an 81, 82, and 81. Sheppard and Washington both came in at a 79.

Hopefully, the Cats are able to bring that recruiting that allowed them to secure many of these big names. Mark Pope is working on that and has already added Ryan Hampton (hopefully) to the list of highly talented recruits who will be playing collegiately at Kentucky.
Expect that list to grow as Pope continues to firm up his recruiting skills.
