It's almost game time for the 2026 Kentucky football team, and the first season of the Will Stein era is just four days away. As we count down the days, we're getting to know the players on the roster, and today we are taking a look at No. 4, Nic Anderson.
Anderson is a 6'4", 208 lb wide receiver out of Katy, Texas. He was a member of the 2022 recruiting class, and rated four stars in the 247Sports composite rankings where he ranked as the No. 243 overall player.
A number of top programs offered Anderson out of high school, including Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, and other. It was the Sooners, however, that got his commitment.
After seeing little action as a freshman, Anderson had a very good second season with 38 catches for nearly 800 yards and
10 touchdowns. Unfortunately, injuries began to hamper him after that. He missed all of 2024, transferred to LSU, and then missed part of last season too, and had just 12 receptions for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns.
This offseason saw Anderson transfer to Kentucky, his third SEC destination, looking to stay healthy, and get back to what he did in 2023. His size makes him a matchup problem for any team, and he will be in the mix, especially around the goalline. The Wildcats coaches are going to give all of the receivers a chance to shine, and Anderson has the skills to be a major factor this season. They just need him to stay healthy, and catch touchdowns. He has shown he can excel at that.
