Since Will Stein was hired as the new head coach for Kentucky football, he has brought in lots of energy, excitement, and hope for the program. He has the Wildcats winning games, and making waves in recruiting circles, leading to a top 25 class in 2027. He's shooting even higher in 2028, and he might just get there with his pursuit of Kellan Hall.
Hall is a 6'4", 265 lb defensive lineman out of Louisville, Kentucky who Stein offered way back in 2024 when Mark Stoops was still in charge. He is currently rated five stars by 247Sports, and ranks as their No. 6 overall player in the class.
Kentucky has been heavily involved with recruiting Hall, but the Wildcats aren't usually a destination for top ten players. That might be changing, though. On Monday,
Rivals analyst Steve Wiltfong (subscription required) dropped a bomb, officially predicting Hall to Kentucky.

Getting Hall to Lexington would be a potentially program-changing signing. Landing one top ten player can influence other top talents that Kentucky is a destination for elite players.
If Kentucky wants to compete at the top of the SEC, they'll need elite players. Hall would be one of the highest-ranking recruits in school history, and Stein's biggest win yet, and over some of college football's elite programs. We'll update this story as it develops, but Stein once again has Big Blue Nation excited.
