As August rolls toward September, it's time for fall college sports to begin once again. On Thursday, the men's Kentucky soccer team makes their 2026 debut, facing off against Western Michigan.
Last season's team had a successful campaign, finishing with ten wins, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, it ended in disappointing fashion, with the Wildcats dropping their opening match 2-1 to Saint Louis in overtime.
This season, Kentucky doesn't start the season ranked in the top 25, but they did receive votes from the coaches. They are, once again, expected to be a factor in their conference, and are a team that can make a postseason run.
Thursday night marks the first step of that journey. Western Michigan will travel to Lexington for
game one, and fans will want to give them plenty of support. Here's how to watch.
