The Kentucky Wildcats, with the backing of first-year head coach Will Stein, have shocked many.
They stand at 4-1 and have a colossal victory on the road against the Texas A&M Aggies. The Cats showed some grit and went on the road and had a comeback victory against the South Carolina Gamecocks
as well. It has been a terrific start to the season for Stein, who was even leading the Alabama Crimson Tide at home when the halftime whistle sounded. How have Stein and company been able to succeed? Well, their elite offensive line has proven to be among the best in the country and has been the talk of the town, but their defense has been absolutely getting after it as well. The Cats rank at the top of the SEC in defensive pressures, which hurries, hits
and sacks all count as.
Here's a breakdown of the top teams in the conference.

13. Mississippi…
Kentucky has managed to allow 21 points or fewer in three of its five games this season, holding the Aggies to 21 points in the Wildcats Week 3 victory.
DL Mi'Quise Humphrey-Grace, who stands at 6-foot-4, is leading the team in sacks, notching one against Alabama and 1.5 against South Alabama. Eight players have at least half a sack as well. Tavion Gadson and Grant Godfrey both deserve to have their names mentioned, as they've been dominant on the defensive line.
With the LSU Tigers on deck for the Cats' Week 6 foe, Stein will get another major challenge at home, but if he comes out on top, he could have the Cats on the brink of being a top-10 or 15 team in the country. Kentucky has opened up as a near double-digit underdog for their matchup with the Tigers.
