It was one of the biggest wins in Kentucky football history, and had the college football world talking. It also inspired voters in the new US LBM Coaches Poll to vote for the Wildcats. They received 54 votes this week, which didn't get them into the top 25, but would place them at No. 30.
The rest of the SEC continues to perform well in the poll too. The Texas Longhorns and Georgia Bulldogs still hold the top two spots, while Ole Miss and the Alabama Crimson Tide are in the top ten. Overall, ten teams
from the conference are in the top 25, and three more, including Kentucky, received votes this week.
It's a big leap for the Wildcats, who haven't found themselves ranked often in recent years. They play South Alabama next week, a game they should win. If they do, at 3-1 with a win over a top ten team, they could jump into the top 25.
