Kentucky Wildcats coach Will Stein isn't the only one walking a sideline this week. His future is as well.
Twenty-five high school prospects committed to Kentucky's 2027 class will lace them up across nine states over the next two nights, from a Friday night trench battle in rural Ohio to a Broward County showdown that would look at home on a Saturday afternoon in the SEC. The Wildcats' board is deep, it's spread out, and this week, almost all of it is live at the same time: Friday, Sept. 4.

Games to Circle
Tank Proctor — American Heritage (Broward) @ Chaminade-Madonna, 6:30 PM ET Circle this one first. American Heritage's tight end commit heads into the highest-profile matchup on Kentucky's
entire board this week, and the Patriots arrive with momentum after escaping East St. Louis 35-28 in overtime. A finish like that tends to carry into the next Friday.
Austin Coles — Columbus @ St. Thomas Aquinas, 7 PM ET South Florida serves up a second heavyweight matchup, and it might be the tougher test of the two. The Raiders opened their season by handling DeSoto 38-14, but Columbus counters with a roster considered among the best in the entire state — exactly the kind of opponent that tells recruiters something new about a prospect.
Griff Galloway — Providence Day @ Hough, 7 PM ET No easy nights for Kentucky's edge commit. Hough opened the year ranked inside MaxPreps' national Top 25, and Galloway's team has to go on the road to face that kind of firepower — the toughest early assignment on this entire list.
Drew Williams — Lee County @ Sequoyah, 7:30 PM ET A Peach State clash worth keeping an eye on. Squaring off with Lee County gives Kentucky's linebacker pledge a chance to build his tape against solid in-state competition early in the season.
Reed Gerken — Perrysburg @ Fremont Ross, 7 PM ET Two 1-0 teams collide, and both got there in blowout fashion. Perrysburg needed just one half to put away Olentangy 45-7, while Fremont Ross wasn't much closer against Sandusky, winning 51-6. Gerken's interior line will find out fast which defense actually shows up.
Kickoff Comes Early
The action actually starts a day early. Kelsey Gerald and Santaluces Community open at home against Lake Worth on Thursday at 6:30 PM ET, and Mason Ball's Jacksonville (Ark.) squad hosts Southside that same night at 7 PM CT — both backs taking the field a full 24 hours before the rest of the class.
Twenty-five commits. Nine states. One class that Kentucky fans will be tracking play-by-play all fall.
