This year's Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team will look a lot different from last season's squad, but Kenny Brooks has high expectations. It's a talented group, ranked 14th, and capable of a big year and postseason success. They kick off the season tonight, and we're covering it live.
Center Clara Strack is still at the heart of this year's Wildcats. She's one of the top returning players in the country, and along with sharpshooter Asia Boone, provides experience in Brooks' system. They'll be surrounded by some newcomers with plenty of promise.
Three McDonald's All-American freshmen join Kentucky, and should contribute right away. Maddyn Greenway could get a shot at a starting poing guard spot. Transfers Diana Collins and Me'Arah O'Neal
will see the floor a lot as well, along with Ajsa Sivka, a former top ten pick in the WNBA draft from Slovenia.
