The Arizona Cardinals are set to honor Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald when they host the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
During halftime of Sunday's game, the Cardinals will retire Fitzgerald's No. 11 jersey and add him to their Ring of Honor. Fitzgerald spent his entire 17-year career in Arizona, totaling 1,432 receptions for 17,492 yards and 121 touchdowns.
After the Cardinals announced in August that Fitzgerald would be honored during the Denver game, he took to social media with a bold prediction: "I can't wait to celebrate with you all in October and witness a @Broncos beatdown. 😁"
Sunday's game is now just a few days away, and fans in Denver haven't forgotten Fitzgerald's tweet.
