Though the Denver Broncos got a huge win by defeating the Seattle Seahawks in overtime on Thursday night, many members of the media took aim at the poor performance put forth by quarterback Bo Nix.
Ryan Fitzpatrick was not the only one to knock Nix's 107-yard passing effort on Thursday night. Former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe also had some harsh words on the Nightcap show. Sharpe said what many people were thinking, even as many Broncos fans defended Nix because the team still won.

"Let's put this in context", said Sharpe
on the Nightcap. "The Broncos won a game in which they had less than 170 yards of total offense at home. Do you know how great your defense has to be to allow you to play this pathetic, this anemic, on the offensive side of the football"?
"If this was any other team, if Bo Nix was on any other team and didn't have this defense, they get blown out", said former NFL wide receiver and Nightcap co-host Chad Johnson.
"His (Nix) representative is going to go to the Broncos, George Paton, he's going to go to the (owners) Walton-Penner and say I want 55, $60 million a year. I'm going to close the door", said Sharpe.
Winning cures all in the NFL and the Broncos are doing that. Had they lost that game, this would be a much different and much more intense conversation. Instead, Broncos fans will just hope the team can keep it rolling despite the mediocre quarterback play or that Nix can turn things around as the season rolls on.
