A trio of former Denver Broncos players are set to face their old team on Sunday.
The San Francisco 49ers' defense features starting inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who is backed up by Garret Wallow. Both linebackers played for the Broncos last season.
On special teams, the Niners have punter Corliss Waitman, who handled punting duties in Denver in 2022. San Francisco also has outside linebacker Andrew Farmer (on injured reserve) and running back Sincere McCormick (on the practice squad). Farmer spent most of the 2024 season on the Broncos' practice squad. McCormick had a brief stint on Denver's practice squad last December.
The most notable ex-Bronco facing his old team is Greenlaw. The 29-year-old linebacker signed a three-year, $31.5 million
contract with Denver in 2025, but missed nine games last fall (eight due to injury and one due to suspension). The Broncos cut Greenlaw this spring in a move that saved about $8 million in salary cap space, opting instead to bring back Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad.

After being cut by Denver, Greenlaw returned to San Francisco, where he spent the first six years of his career. Greenlaw and the 49ers are now set to host the Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
