Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been scrutinized heavily for his five-game start to the 2026 season. From Hall of Famers to on-air analysts giving their thoughts on the third-year signal-caller, Nix has been hung out to dry after some of the worst performances of his career.
Despite the disappointment he feels in himself, Nix isn't focused on the opinions of others.
"To be honest, I really don’t," Nix said on Tuesday when asked if he listens to or sees any of the film breakdowns from pundits. "I couldn’t tell you one [person] that has said anything, but I just know that it’s their job. It’s their opinion. That’s what they get paid to do just like I get paid to do this. So I’m really only focused about what (offensive coordinator) Davis [Webb]
and (quarterbacks coach) Logan [Kilgore] are teaching me, how coach [Sean Payton] is calling the plays, how I can improve and how I can make Coach’s job easy on a Sunday when he calls plays. That’s all I’m worried about."
While the armchair quarterbacks and couch coaches have their say, Nix isn't afraid of what may be ahead. Earlier this week, Payton encouraged Nix to "let it rip" more often, something which could encourage Nix to push the ball down the field.
Nix isn't likely to care, or respond to his detractors, especially to on-air film reviewers or fans like DragonSlayer69.
"I guess sometimes they can say whatever they want and unfortunately, I can’t say whatever I want back," Nix joked. "That’s just part of the nature of the beast, part of it and a part of this gig.”
Nix will have his next chance to get back in the saddle on Thursday Night Football against a very difficult opponent in the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
