Denver Broncos fans' doomsday meters went through the roof after the ugly loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. The defense gave up 31 points and the offense could not get any semblance of a drive put together after their second trip down the field.
With championship expectations through the roof, many believed this was time to hit the panic button and call the season.
Former Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey quickly tried to put the flames out on social media. "The fallout from last nights @Broncos loss is out of control," McCaffrey tweeted on Tuesday. "You’re never as bad as you look after a loss or as good as you look after a win."

A team can suffer a loss, and have their fans believe the sky is falling. Instead of whining about various facets of the game, McCaffrey chose to make light of the defensive struggles endured in Week 1. Laughing is a lot better than crying about it.

Despite the loss, it is only post-Week 1. There is a lot of football yet to be played, and the potential of this team is evident. The Broncos are a team coming off an AFC Championship appearance. They can still turn this season around.
