The Denver Broncos are adding more depth to their backfield after losing running back RJ Harvey to an ankle injury.
The Broncos have signed Jaret Patterson to their practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. Additionally, the team also signed defensive back Ugo Amadi and defensive tackle Jordan Miller after cutting wide receivers Eli Pancol and Cam Ross from the practice squad.
Patterson (5-8, 195 pounds) entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Buffalo with the Washington Football Team in 2021. He has spent time with four NFL teams in his career, totaling 584 yards from scrimmage and scoring three touchdowns in 27 games (three starts).
Harvey was placed on injured reserve last week, and he'll have to sit out at least three more games
before being eligible to return against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13. Fellow running back Tyler Badie (thumb) is eligible to return in Week 12.
Denver now has two running backs on the practice squad in addition to Jonah Coleman and J.K. Dobbins on the active roster. Cody Schrader was elevated from the practice squad to the game-day roster last week.
