Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel believes Bo Nix can get even better in 2026 if he just improves in one specific area: his footwork.
In an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, Daniel explained that the Denver Broncos' quarterback is on the verge of a breakout in his third season.
"I thought that Bo Nix was right on the cusp of that jump, and was playing really well," Daniel told Eisen. "I like Bo Nix a lot, and I think the thing that really stood out to me last year, where he can really improve on this year, is his footwork. Footwork for me is the one thing — everything starts from the ground up when you're a quarterback."
Daniel, a former Sean Payton player with the New Orleans Saints, explained that footwork will be crucial for Nix to succeed
in the offense this year.
"When you watched (Nix), you would see him really speed up, and him waiting on concepts, and his feet would just go pitter-pat... and he would take off after his first and second read," Daniel said. "I think that's the big thing getting into this Davis Webb offense is, he's going to really try to marry his feet with the concept. If he does that, I think they're going to be really successful."

In addition to reviewing Nix's footwork, Daniel has been extremely complimentary of the Broncos as a whole. "Denver is the best team no one's talking about," Daniel said.

The Broncos are poised to remain at the top of the AFC playoff picture in 2026, if Nix and Co. can stay healthy, and play well on offense.
The Broncos begin their season on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 14.
